In line with our Corporate Social Responsibility and in accordance with our values, we are committed and actively act to minimize the environmental impact of our operations.
This commitment is an integral part of SMI2000's business policy and is carried out through our Environmental Management System, based on the UNE-EN ISO 14001 standard, which focuses, among other points, on:
Prioritizing the use of recyclable materials in the design and manufacture of products.
Optimizing the use of surplus and excess raw materials during production processes.
Improvement in the arrangement of containers and areas to properly classify and store special and non-special waste.
Proper waste management by authorized managers.
Reduction of electricity consumption by optimizing the lighting system in the facilities, replacing discharge lamps with LED lights.
Increase in the self-sufficiency of energy capacity with the installation of 306 solar panels on the roofs of the warehouse. The energy produced by these panels covers 77% of the energy demand of the warehouse. This project has been designed with the aim of promoting sustainability, reducing CO2 emissions and lowering energy costs.
Committed to the environment and investing in renewable energy.
